Plant shutdown welding
for Dallas–Tyler facilities.

When the line is down on purpose, the welding has to fit the outage—not the other way around. Star State Welding handles process pipe, supports, and equipment repairs during planned shutdowns and turnarounds for plants and commercial facilities from west Dallas east through Tyler.

Work planned around your outage window.

Most plant maintenance teams already know what has to get done while production is stopped. Our job is to show up ready for that list: confirmed materials, clear access, and welding that matches the drawings and the time you actually have.

We support industrial facilities across Greater Dallas and the I-20 corridor through Terrell, Canton, Van, Lindale, and Tyler. Travel and crew availability are confirmed for each outage—not assumed from a map.

  • Process pipe welding, tie-ins, and repairs during isolation
  • Supports, brackets, and fabricated components that hold the schedule
  • Equipment frames, mounts, and facility steel that failed inspection
  • Coordination with your hot-work, lockout, and permit process

North to Frisco, south to Waxahachie, and east through Tyler, with limited service in Fort Worth. Travel and availability are confirmed for each job. See service area details.

HOW SHUTDOWN WORK GOES

Clear steps so the window is not wasted.

01 / SCOPE

Lock the punch list.

Share systems, materials, diameters, drawings, and which items are must-finish versus nice-to-have if time runs short.

02 / SITE RULES

Confirm access and permits.

Gate check-in, hot-work permits, confined-space rules, and who can approve field changes all go in the plan before tools come out.

03 / EXECUTE

Weld inside the window.

We work the agreed list during your approved hours, keep you updated on blockers, and leave the site ready for startup checks.

GOOD TO KNOW

Shutdown welding questions.

When should we call about shutdown work?

As soon as outage dates are firm. Earlier notice helps us confirm travel, material, and hot-work timing around your window.

Can you work nights or weekends during an outage?

Often yes. Tell us the approved work windows, facility procedures, and which systems will be isolated before we confirm the schedule.

What do you need before the outage starts?

Scope list, drawings if you have them, materials and diameters, access or permit requirements, and who on site can approve changes.

Do you handle emergency work if something fails mid-outage?

Call immediately. Emergency welding is available 24/7; dispatch still depends on location, conditions, and current availability.
